What we do

We inspect your firearm to ensure safe mechanical operation and use our in-depth knowledge of firearms to guide those inspections: repairing faults, or notifying you of unsafe conditions and taking steps to prevent catastrophic failures. We do this while following proper firearm safety handling procedures.

Incorrect mounts

Missing parts

Cracks: all cracked parts are a concern, especially in the chamber, bolt, bolt handles or buttstock.

Bore obstructions: dented or bent barrels, or foreign material in barrels.

Improper headspace: chamber and bolt dimensions are not within specified tolerances.

Improper timing: (applies to fully automatic firearms and revolvers).

Safety mechanism malfunction: potentially allowing a firearm with the safety supposedly engaged to fire unexpectedly.

Worn edges: which may allow a firearm to fire unexpectedly when the safety is disengaged.

Deformed firing pin tips: leading to the possibility of breakage.

Bench time – €60 / hour

Inspection (includes diagnosis) – €25

Clean and oil: includes full disassembly and parts inspection – €60

Mechanical workshop time – €75 / hour

Minimum shop charge – €25
